1. Introduction

Mudrai ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the Mudrai platform ("Platform"). As a decentralized platform, we are designed to collect minimal personal data. This policy applies to all users of the Platform, including traders, community administrators, and visitors.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

  • Wallet Addresses: Your public blockchain wallet address is required for authentication and trading. This is inherently public information on the blockchain.
  • Profile Information (Optional): Display name, avatar image, bio, and timezone if you choose to create a profile.
  • Email Address (Optional): If you opt in to email notifications for trade updates and platform communications.
  • Trade Chat Messages: Messages exchanged between trading parties during a trade, including any files or images uploaded as evidence during disputes.
  • Payment Method Information: Payment method names and instructions you provide in P2P advertisements (e.g., "Bank Transfer - Chase Bank"). We do not collect your actual bank account numbers, card numbers, or financial credentials.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • Trade Metadata: Trade IDs, amounts, token types, chain information, timestamps, and status transitions. This data is also recorded on the blockchain.
  • IP Addresses: Collected for security purposes, rate limiting, and fraud prevention. IP addresses are retained for a limited period.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution for platform optimization.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and general navigation patterns (with analytics consent only).
  • Login History: Timestamps and IP addresses of authentication events for security monitoring.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Government-issued identification documents (passports, driver's licenses, national IDs).
  • Bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or financial credentials.
  • Social Security numbers or tax identification numbers.
  • Private keys or wallet seed phrases (we never have access to these).
  • Biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Platform Operation: To facilitate trades, manage escrow, process disputes, and deliver core platform functionality.
  • Communication: To send trade-related notifications, dispute updates, and platform announcements (via email if opted in, or through in-app notifications).
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Improvement: To analyze usage patterns (with consent) and improve platform features, performance, and user experience.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.
  • Dispute Resolution: To provide relevant trade and communication data to assigned community Admins during dispute proceedings.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Trading Counterparties

When you enter a trade, your wallet address, profile information (if set), and trade-related communications are visible to your counterparty.

4.2 Community Admins

During dispute resolution, assigned Admins can view trade details, chat messages, uploaded evidence, and relevant trade history of the involved parties. Admins are bound by the Community Guidelines and confidentiality obligations.

4.3 Blockchain

All on-chain transactions (trade creation, acceptance, completion, disputes, fund claims) are permanently recorded on public blockchains. This data is inherently public and cannot be deleted or modified.

4.4 Service Providers

We use third-party service providers for infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, content delivery networks). These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

4.5 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mudrai, our users, or the public.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

  • Trade Data: Retained for the lifetime of the Platform for audit, compliance, and dispute reference purposes.
  • Chat Messages: Retained for 12 months after trade completion. Dispute evidence is retained for 24 months.
  • IP Addresses and Login History: Retained for 6 months for security purposes.
  • Profile Information: Retained until you delete your profile or request erasure.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely. Individual usage data is deleted after 12 months.
  • Blockchain Data: Permanent and immutable. This is outside our control.
